Yesterday, went up to Mt San Jacinto from Idyllwild. Instead of taking the Palm Springs tram up most of the way then hiking to the peak, started from the Marion Mountain Trail further down the mountain. Long hike at 12 miles and ~4500 ft of elevation gain, but luckily in good enough shape at the end of summer that it wasn’t too bad. Probably last big hike of the year since it’ll start getting cold and rainy soon. The peak was a little cloudy, but good views in all directions.
